The Lordsburg Chamber of Commerce met February 8 1971 at the C of C building. Expenditures for the January 28 banquet at the American Motor Inn were reviewed and judged a success. Hollywood visitors led by Jack Warner toured Shakespeare area and Dorsett and others may attend a Santa Fe film seminar February 19 1971 to shape future movie activity.

Burglars Loot Saucedos Market Wednesday Night
Thieves broke into Saucedos Food Market on Wednesday night and stole about 40 dollars from the office register along with merchandise. The loot included cash from registers placed in a box found inside the store. Entry was gained by breaking a front door glass. merchandise later found behind Southside School.
