Council Extends Gaa Line to Dee Hall Ranch and Paves Rail Road Ave
At the regular meeting Monday night the council ordered a gaa line extended to the Dee Hall ranch two miles northwest of town and across to the city water works. They sponsored paving a portion of Railroad Avenue from W A Short and Son service station to the Texaco Mission Service station if the Southern Pacific grants right of way. Paving will extend twelve to fifteen feet north from the present curb. District Engineers W A Shillito and Joe Rogers visited from Silver City to discuss options. They surveyed much of the town and submitted figures for consideration.

Theft of Douglas Utter's car found hours later
Mr and Mrs Douglas Utter drove from Duncan to visit relatives at the Hotel Hidalgo. About 8 16 the Douglas Chevrolet coupe was stolen from the street. Chief Deputy Conner recovered the vehicle within three hours, but the thief remained at large. The car was later found parked near the big ditch in the town’s southeast area.
