Fire Destroys Roadforks Tavern in Arizona
A fire around 1:00 p.m. Monday completely destroyed the Road Forks Tavern. The cafe and bar equipment, furniture, and fixtures were a total loss, estimated at just over $10,000 and partially insured. Owner Johnny Graham of Shady Grove reported the blaze. a delivery man alerted Graham after seeing smoke.

Scenic Wonders Film Presented Gov. Mechem
A half hour film depicting New Mexico’s scenic wonders was premiered for Governor Edwin L. Mechem in Albuquerque. Produced by Mountain States Telephone for the states 50th Anniversary, the Mural of New Mexico aims to attract visitors and encourage industry relocation. Suspect Returns From Colorado To Face Burglary Charge
Kenneth Hensley, 25, of Alabama Colorado, is charged with breaking and entering in a school safe theft case. Billy Thompson implicated him after a December 14 building entry attempt. Thompson pleaded guilty and is jailed. Hensley was returned from Colorado February 1 on a warrant and has not entered a plea.
