Co-Operative Mine Strikes Rich Silver Vein on 150 Level

On February first the Co-Operative miners hit another rich silver vein on the north side of the shaft. The ore is extremely rich, prompting canvas to be spread to catch falling rock as values are not yet determined. This marks a strong start to the New Year.

Missionary Tea Recital at Mrs Roy Peak Home

At the Missionary Tea held Friday February second at Mrs Roy Peak's home a program featured vocal solo Florence Cureton reading by Florence Cureton piano bolo by Mrs Richardson duet piano and violin Baby and Pearl Peak piano duet by Mrs Claud Puller and Grace Conner reading by Mrs Syday. Memorial Rites For Ada Harber Heather Observed

The community honors Ada Harber Heather who died after a long illness. A Methodist service led by Rev. W H Vanderpool featured Pythian Sisters and pallbearers including Mayor E K Fisher and John B Crowell. She leaves a husband Jack Heather and two children Harker and Dora Ellen. Burial followed in Los Angeles.

Judge Mechem Holds Court in Chambers This Week

Judge Edwin Mechem brother of the governor presided in chambers this week disposing of one divorce case and handling minor matters. Attending attorneys were H. B. Holt and F. W. Vellecott, with court stenographer Miss Parker present.

First National Bank Expands Insurance and Bonding Roles

The First National Bank now handles the insurance bonding and renting division that Morningstar and Augustine previously ran and takes over Stanley W. Coon's insurance business. Acmes Enjoy Fine Thanksgiving Dinner Saturday
