Tucson businessman F. W. LeCron of Borderland Oil & Refining Co says government permits will allow two 4 000 foot rigs to Bowie 10 miles north of Bowie on Morton and Martin acreage. A Tucson refinery is planned to process local crude, and geologic data plus shells and fossils mark the field as strong in the San Simon Valley.

Alonzo Smith a well known fireman living in Tuc son was found dead in his bed at a local rooming house this morning. An inquest by Judge Marsalis ruled death from natural causes. He was brother in law to Ballard McNeil and had a wide local circle of friends.

George W Bailey Dies After Brief Illness at Hardin Hotel
George W Bailey a longtime West Texas resident died Friday after a brief illness at the Hardin hotel where his family resides. The funeral Sunday from the Baptist church conducted by Knights of Pythias with pallbearers from the lodge. Born December 20 1804 in Leavenworth Kansas he spent much of youth in St Louis and moved to West Texas in 1900. Survived by Georgiana Wheeler his wife seven children and three grandchildren with several others deceased in infancy. Remains laid to rest in Mountain View cemetery with full lodge presence.
