Snowbound motorists stranded on Ridge route near Bakersfield
More than 100 people in 25 automobiles are stranded on the Ridge route between Bakersfield and Los Angeles since yesterday due to four feet of snow. The Automobile Club of Southern California sent tractors and drags to clear drifts while rangers and linemen coordinated rescue efforts. A sled was launched from Lebee, 15 miles away, to reach the stranded group.
