Adams Qualifies for Air Cadet Training at Columbus
Private Albert S. Adams and another candidate qualified for aviation cadet training at Columbus Army Flying School in Mississippi. Adams enlisted at Barksdale Field Louisiana on June 17 1941 and completed an Army Air Corps Technical School course at Scott Field Illinois before transferring to Columbus Ai Base to work in the link trainer department. He then departed April 13 for Maxwell Field Alabama for assignment to a primary flying school. His sister Mrs Vernon Brock lives in Lordsburg.

Death of William Clark Former Mogollon deputy sheriff
William Clark died after a long illness and was buried at Mountainview cemetery after a Nazarene Church funeral led by Rev. Paul Simpson. He served as deputy sheriff of Mogollon, a position once held by his father. He leaves a wife and five children, including son Charles serving in the Philippines.
