Denver Buyer Ships 6000 Cattle From Several Towns

Milo Burlingame, for Marty Jamieson of Denver, completed the purchase of 6000 cattle ranging from yearlings up. Shipments will depart Rodeo May 10, Lordsburg May 15 and 16, and Animas May 20, all sold by weight as scales are installed at the SP stock yards.

Methodist Church Calls for Faithful Attendance and Support

Pastor Walter H Vanderpool urges the community to support the church and attend services as overcrowding prompts a parsonage class at 9 45 Sunday. The program includes Sunday School at 10, League at 6 30, and services at 11 and 7 45 with special music.

Welch and wife travel to Los Angeles by car

P. F. Welch and his wife left yesterday by motor car for Los Angeles and will stay at the Van Nuys Hotel for an indefinite period. With other prominent gentlemen, Welch is invested in manufacturing a phonograph called the "Goldola" that promises high grade music and sells from 82.50 up.

Christian Church Ends Lordsburg Visit With Farewell Sermons

The Christian Church in Lordsburg announces its last day in town with morning and evening services. Messages titled Life a Voyage and The government of God in a human Life will close the Bible study. A church photo on the south steps will capture memories as thanks go to locals and to the Liberal editor. The group then heads to Little Rock Arkansas to evangelize.

Southern Pacific Station Earns Efficiency Banner

The Tucson division won the efficiency banner for freight handling with minimal loss or damage from Oct to Dec 1922 among ten divisions. J. H. McClure, agent in Tucson, chaired the loss and damage committee with help from all employees. Lordsburg has long been in the 100 percent class.

Missionary Society Meeting At Church

The Woman's Missionary Society gathered at the church Friday for a devotional and business session. Topics included Demon Worship in Korea and Under the Thrall of Demons with several papers by Mrs. Syday and Mrs. Wagner, plus songs and a concluding prayer.

Richard Warren Aldrich Born at Demoss Hospital

Mrs. Raymond W. Aldrich gave birth to a 9 pound son on Thursday evening April 5 1923 at the Demoss hospital. The child will be named Richard Warren Aldrich and a telegram of congratulations came from F C Fraser of Kingston New York who years ago taught the West Union manager telegraphy.

Death of Mrs Adela Ih Uranga

Mrs Adela Ih Uranga, mother of Mrs Carl Rosted, died after a lengthy illness in Mexico City where she was born 55 years ago. Survived by her husband four daughters and many friends. Carl Rosted called her a good true Christian. Funeral held Tuesday afternoon.
