Oceanic youths vanish. two held in New York raid
Four boys from Oceanic and Belford vanish within hours. Harry and William Curtin, linked to Belford Hotel owner William Crane, are arrested at Pennsylvania Station and returned home. Paul Nicholas Jr. and Harold Brill remain missing amid a large search. The Belford youths, about fourteen, feared for raiding a watermelon patch. Burglary Laughs At Cameron Home In New Jersey Tale
Clarence E. Cameron of Newark and East Orange headed Lauter Plano Company. While family vacationed in Vermont, a maid invited a brother police officer to stay at the seashore Long Branch house. The watchman slept outside while the East Orange officer and maids slept inside. The next morning the home was ransacked of jewelry silverware and valuables. The East Orange officer reportedly had 82 stolen from his boat trunk. A separate note mentions a New Era shore dinner at Oceanport with motor boat voyage and 52 participants including several ladies.
