Reunion of 29th New Jersey Volunteers Held in Keyport

The twenty fourth annual reunion gathered 90 veterans and about 250 friends and visitors in Keyport. Old officers were reelected with J T Field as Honorary president and James Campbell as President, as members from Red Bank to Asbury Park served on committees. Two sessions ran at 10 and 2 at Central M E Church with Rev I S Yerkes as pastor. full program continued on the fifth page.

Pretty Wedding Solemnized at Nastasia Residence

A home wedding was solemnized at 6 o'clock last evening at the Nastasia residence in Springdale. Marie D Nastasia married George DeFazio, a Morris avenue tailor, with City Recorder Thomas V Arrowsmith performing. The bride wore white satin and orange blossoms, attended by Louise Arrowsmith. Best man was G VariNote. After the ceremony the couple left for Asbury Park and returned for a reception and dinner at the Marlborough Hotel in Asbury Park attended by over one hundred guests.

Kingston N Y Sept 11 Justice Haebrouck ruled on the writ of habeas corpus for Joseph G Robin the New York banker that William Salger was impeached by the future and while awaiting trial is divested of all executive powers The cage was brought by Salger s friends in a last desperate effort to halt the trial scheduled to begin a week from today The decision is a severe blow to their hopes.

Milk Inspector New Official Here In Red Bank

At a Board of Health meeting John Hall of the Maryland State Board of Health was named city milk inspector serving without pay until January 1. He will begin work when milk finance takes effect on September 26. An organization led by Mrs. J. W. Cunningham raised about 1000 to fund a city laboratory for health officer research. If Hall proves satisfactory, he may be kept on through year end as sanitary inspector and health officer.

Back on Olympic from European trip

The Olympic arrived from Cherbourg yesterday with every stateroom filled. Passengers included Judge and Mrs. Terhune, Senator Slocum and Mrs. Slocum, and Mr and Mrs John Terhune. Senator Slocum praised Governor Fyer's campaign and predicted Felt will be nominated and elected easily. His experience would make him one of the state's best governors.

Former Resident Harry Embley Dies in Elizabeth

Word came of the unexpected death of Harry Embley 24 in Elizabeth. Son of Mr and Mrs Albert Embley of Third Avenue he resided there eight or nine years after marriage to Anna Waek. Survived by widow two children and three brothers William P and James in Florida and New York John. Services set for Linden Cemetery morning burial in Linden cemetery.

Tubercular Site Offer and County Projects Considered

The Board of Freeholders discussed continuing the search for a suitable tuberculosis hospital site and received an offer of sixty acres near Allaire station. Drainage improvements were requested for the approach to the stand avenue bridge. A temporary supervisor appointment caused later changes, and the group planned a site visit to inspect a bridge on Fair Haven road and a drawbridge request at Belford. The board also moved to sue for unpaid franchise taxes from Monmouth County Electric Company and reported transfers to the State Hospital and widow pensions.

Visiting Worse Has Busy Month

Miss Helen Forbes visiting nurse made 816 calls in August covering Better Babies Contests at here and the Monmouth County Fair in Red Bank. 145 registered and 101 examined at the here contest. 65 babies examined at the county fair. Visiting Nurse Association ran a First Aid Tent and treated multiple patients. Long Branch babies topped averages. surname mentions include Christopher Gregory and Tinton Falls incident. Wheels Stolen And Newsstand Robbed At North Long Branch

Thieves stole two wheels during a visit by the Hudson County Democrats. A wheel from Pleasure Bay was recovered after a youth attempted to sell it to William Presley. A second wheel was taken from a delivery wagon in front of Reid’s store. The newsstand windows were damaged and high priced cigars and cigarettes disappeared.

Red Bank Woman Dies at Home of Heart Disease

Mrs. Constance E. Sickles of Red Bank aged about 62 collapsed while visiting her 92 year old mother. She died of heart disease and Coroner Harry C. Fay was summoned. She leaves husband Charles C. Sickles a stepson Ralph Sickles a stepdaughter Mrs. Charles Boyd a sister Mrs. Webb. Funeral plans incomplete.
