Fire from Stopped Oil Stove at Red Bank Office
Early morning at 10 40 o clock an oil stove toppled by a boy at the Long Branch Record office caused burning oil to spill on the floor. Frank N Worth hurled the stove from the window and then battled flames with a coat. Papers ignited in a corner and passersby helped remove them. Fire companies arrived to find the blaze out. damage was slight. The building is owned by George Kuhl at the head of Broad street opposite the fountain.

Thirty Injured by Fire Explosions in Grand Rapids
In Grand Rapids Michigan on November 29 a blaze at a tenement house injured thirty including firemen and spectators after explosions of gasoline dynamite and powder. Firefighters had removed over 40 residents and warned nearby tenants before additional blasts. The blaze caused extensive damage and a log estimated at 200 000 dollars caused travel notices for Train No 293 and a Long Branch departure schedule.

Tools stolen from Oscar Miller shop spark arrest of John Cooper
A tool shop on North roadway reported thefts of tools brass fittings and lead with two mason suspects. John Cooper was arrested at City Hall on charges of taking and disposing of Miller tools.
