Deal man leaps to death from Hamburg liner
Louis Neuchestner, a Deal resident employed in ornamental work, leapt from a Hamburg line steamer near the Statue of Liberty and died aboard. He had a history of strange behavior, was treated at a state hospital, later in custody of police, and his body was buried at sea after the tragedy. Father Duggan New Red Bank Priest Appointed Rector
Rev D J Duggan named rector of St James Red Bank to succeed the late Father J A Reynolds whose funeral was held yesterday. Bishop James A McFaul of Trenton announced the appointment. Duggan, an Ireland native born about sixty years ago, educated at Maynooth, has served in the United States for thirty five years. He previously led Bordentown parish seventeen years, with earlier posts at Salem and Mount Holly. He is regarded as scholarly and among the most successful rectors in the diocese. He is well known by Monmouth county priests.

Plan to Exterminate Mosquitoes Along Jersey Coast
An association of summer residents across Rumson Sea Bright Monmouth Beach Rid Bank formed to eradicate salt marsh mosquitoes within a four mile radius of Little Silver station. A contract with U S Drainage and Irrigation Co aims to destroy breeding sites north of Red Bank and near Pleasure Bay with work starting Monday and finishing by July 1.
