John B Connett a machinist and former Manasquan resident died Saturday from tuberculosis at 66. He lived near Black Point Rumson with his widow and four children all residing locally. He is survived by a sister Mrs Charles Haight of Manasquan. Funeral was at his home conducted by Rev J C Lord with burial in Bay View cemetery Atlantic Highlands directed by Harry C Fay.

A man identified as Rocco Cropella killed Rocco Truglia in Exchange Place near Baseball Park with a ten inch stiletto. The weapon pierced the heart, witnesses said, as Cropella fled toward Bath Avenue and High Street. Police pursued, with Constable Tomaini arresting Rocco Notoro and others aiding Walling’s investigation. An autopsy confirmed a heart stab as the cause of death. Death of George Wendling at Freehold Station
George Wendling, 29, of 200 West 42nd Street New York, died in the Central Railroad waiting room at Freehold after collapsing from apoplexy on a train near Matawan. He had just visited his father Christopher Wendling who had bought a farm near Milhurst three miles west of Freehold. Coroner Pardy viewed the body and burial permit was issued.
