Eldredge Retired After 25 Years With Swift Chicago Beef
Charles A. Eldredge ends a quarter century of service with the Swift Chicago Beef Company and will take a month of full pay leave before lifetime pension starting July 1. He is the first New York area employee to retire on pension, with Reese Evans succeeding him in Newark Long Branch duties. Eldredge helped grow the Long Branch branch, expanding Asbury Park coverage, and remains active in local trade and Masonic orders. He plans to live in Long Branch or retire near the New England coast.

Boy bit by dog at former Monmouth Park grounds
