Delegation Tours Atlantic City Street Paving Efforts

A city delegation including councilmen and the Board of Trade examined Atlantic City streets and bitulithic paving. They toured the plant of United Paving Company and observed material preparation, fire engine runs on Atlantic Avenue, and a luncheon at Hotel Windsor before returning home.

Past Masters' Night Celebrated by Long Branch Lodge

Nearly two hundred Masons from various lodges and six grand jurisdictions attended the fourteenth annual Past Masters night at Masonic Hall. After the past masters concluded, a social hour followed with speeches by members, selections by the Masonic quartet, and ice cream and cake. It was hailed as one of the most delightful events of its kind in the city.

Rush on Concrete Pier and Park Improvements

Work on the new concrete and steel pier progresses rapidly with piling driven daily toward an 324 foot length. A nine ty-man crew from Hennebique Construction Co. directs the site while a night gang handles equipment moves. In Ocean Park Piper's scenic railway, the longest in the world, advances toward completion amid other park attractions and a projected total of forty to fifty amusements along the North Jersey coast.

Mrs. L. L. Dudley and daughter Una arrived yesterday from Porto Rico aboard the Maracaibo. Mrs. Dudley reports improved health after her stay in Porto Rico. Miss Dudley will spend the summer at Peapack New Jersey to recuperate from recent duties. Both enjoyed their Porto Rico sojourn.

Pintards Plan Month Abroad After Red Bank Wedding

Mr and Mrs Osborn H Pintard of Red Bank recently married leave for a month's visit at Arverne to see Mrs Pintards aunt. Mrs Pintard was Miss Mildred Cornwell daughter of Mr Cornwell of Broad Street Red Bank. They will start housekeeping on Branch Avenue Red Bank in August.
