Long Branch Plans Welcoming Parade For President
Long Branch citizens form a reception committee at City Hall to welcome the President with a parade starting Monday morning at the Chattle fountain on Broadway. The procession will include a band, automobiles and carriages, decorated with bunting and flags, ending at the railroad station just before the President’s arrival. A police escort, school participation, and a brief presidential address are planned, with a platform discussed for the mayor to greet him.
