Mrs. Lena Glaser wife of Samuel Glaser of Long Branch sued Central Railroad Company of New Jersey for damages after her husband was killed at the Springwood avenue crossing in Asbury Park on January 1 1909. A $1500 verdict was entered by agreement in Freehold with Judge Wilbur A Heisley presiding. Glaser a junk dealer and stage owner left nine children. The accident involved a southbound freight train No 345.

Quinlan, rector of Eatontown and Colts Neck Catholic churches, was honored last night at Crescent Hall Eaton town after returning from an overseas trip that included London Paris Geneva and Rome where he gained a blessing to confer to his parishes. The event featured addresses by Rev. J. A. Sullivan and others, a $500 purse presented by John Gaul and William Lahey, and dancing after a brief program.

The theatrical colony of Fair Haven gathered Sunday to help Joseph Mack assemble a portable house named The Wigwam overlooking the Shrewsbury river.
