Runaway Horse Caught After Kids Scream for Help
Garfield avenue residents were startled as a baker’s wagon pulled by a runaway horse sped along Westwood avenue. James Barham Jr. intercepted the horse, guiding it to a stop near Garfield and Second avenues. The child rider escaped unseen. Later, the horse’s owner tried to drive it home but it bolted again.
