Lexington report: in a desperate pistol battle at Hyden Kentucky, Jacky Wensley eighteen and Hubbard Miniard seventeen, sons of prominent local families, shot each other to death. Wreck Holds Up Traffic Near Elizabethport
An engine and three freight cars toppled and caught fire near the C R R station in Elizabethport New Jersey causing a six hour disruption to Newark main line traffic. Engineer Harry Prince of Jersey City was trapped in the cab and seriously injured. Fireman Ernest Dougherty of Bayonne escaped with cuts and bruises. The shed at the repair yard was damaged as the locomotive ploughed the track.
