A sixty mile northeast gale last night wrecked the schooner Charles K Buckley al long North Broadway. Seven lives were lost and cargo timber valued at yellow pine was hauled ashore and loaded for shipment to Elizabeth. A local youth suffered a leg injury while attempting to salvage debris as the ship broke apart and washed ashore.
