Voters to Register by Own Affidavit in Trenton

Fire razes Hartwig Baruch boathouse and Skeedaddle loss

A fire last night destroyed the two story Hartwig N Baruch boathouse on Atlantic Avenue along with the Skeedaddle motor boat. The blaze began in the upper storeroom and spread rapidly, aided by limited hydrants. Firefighters saved the lower portion and shore end but the structure likely must be razed. Baruch, in New York, will inspect the ruins today and decide on rebuilding plans.

Actress Dies Here Mrs Della Fox Former Vaudeville Star

Mrs Della Fox 60 a resident of Ashbury Park died Saturday evening at Memorial Hospital from a heart ailment after an illness of over a month She had been living with the widow of an Italian man who was electrocuted at First Avenue and Main Street on Ridge Avenue Fox once a vaudeville actress famed as a crack rifle shot Born in the west she was known for aiding the poor despite her own poverty she died in modest circumstances after a long career in show business and charity.

Jump From Train Fatal to Belford Boy

Thirteen year old Jacob Johnson Jr. of Belford died at Monmouth Memorial Hospital from lockjaw eight weeks after a scratch while jumping from a train. He sought a ride, was injured when the train sped by, and tetanus developed after arrival. Funeral from the Johnson home Wednesday with Rev. J Oakes officiating. Burial at Halsey Cemetery, Belford. Surviving are several brothers and sisters. sympathy poured out for the parents.

Howell Sons Tie Back To Old Township In Reunion

Howell's native Idao held their second annual reunion at Farmingdale Saturday with 225 or more at a banquet in Red Men's hall. Most attendees were men now living elsewhere, ranging across decades, including ministers, lawyers, physicians, financiers, soldiers, and politicians. An age exchange at a gathering featured Rev Dr Thomas OHanlon and Halstead Wainwright disputing who was older, ending with O Hanlon claiming age over 80 and Wainwright noting a birthday.

New Government In Effect Tomorrow In Long Branch

Long Branch will switch to the commission form of government at noon tomorrow with newly elected commissioners Newcomb Arrowsmith Wylock Howland and Woolley.
