Judge denounces brutal assault and prison term handed
In Freehold court Judge Foster sentenced Frank Glaubrecht to a maximum of fifteen years and a minimum of seven and a half years for the criminal assault of 12 year old Mary Hendry of Rumson. The State Board of Health will investigate an ugly feature of the case. Glaubrecht is under thirty. Also heard were guilty pleas from Alexander McCabe for stealing $49 from Ann May Hospital at Spring Lake. sentence suspended with a pledge to reform. Edward Havens pleaded guilty to stealing a rowboat at the Highlands and was sent to Rahway Reformatory. Wholesale liquor license for Albert Hirschfeld of Long Branch renewed. Samuel W. Haysman’s license was laid over to May 7.

Stolen Pleven Planks From Church and Lumber Site
Planks each 20 feet long were taken from the New Monmouth Baptist Church cellar. Several planks also vanished from a lumber pile at Howard Wert's new house site. A search recovered 17 large planks hidden about 106 yards away in Hendrickson's woods and they were returned to the lumber pile, remaining undisturbed since.

Jacob Corlies Williams born May 2, 1824 along Bath avenue near Norwood avenue lives on his 84th birthday. A lifelong Atlantic coast fisherman with 69 years at sea he recalls the wrecks and wrecking work from early 19th century.
