Touring car fire injures fireman in Red Bank accident
A touring car owned by Herman Rippen of Perth Amboy caught fire near George Hance Patterson’s garage on Monmouth street Red Bank after a fuel explosion while refueling following a race with another car. Ernest Grote suffered facial burns while Barry Maxwell and Charles Brannin were badly burned. Brannin required hospital care and recovery is slow. The incident caused about 700 dollars in damage, fully insured.

Nine year old boy injured by automobile in Ocean Age Line
Nathan Gorcey nine son of B Gorcev tailor on South Broadway narrowly escaped death after a car driven by William Mpurchase struck him on Ocean Avenue near the Atlantic Hotel. He was treated at Mommouth Memorial Hospital for a scalp wound and possible thigh injury with no broken bones confirmed. The driver posted bail and the case was reported to City Hall as bystanders assisted the injured boy and he remained unconscious overnight but improved by morning.
