Long Branch Hospital Bond Bill Clears Law Mill

Trenton March 22. Assembly passes Senate bill 91 known as the Long Branch Hospital bill authorizing Monmouth County freeholders to issue bonds up to 15000 to aid a charitable hospital’s construction and equipment. Bonds carry up to five percent interest, maturities up to thirty years, with sinking fund to pay both principal and interest. The measure ensures hospital care for the poor admitted without cost and preserves existing state appropriations for maintenance.
