Tragedy On Trolley Route Ends Local Theatre Worker
Leon Debow, 26, an employee of the Savoy Theatre Asbury Park and president of a local theatre union, was killed when struck by a northbound trolley near Lakeside station. Motorman Arthur Patrick did not see him. the car continued and the body was later found. Debow, returning from a NY and Long Branch trip, had been walking after being dropped off without funds. Funeral arrangements were to be handled by Ferry of Asbury Park.
