Long Branch Boy Killed in New York

Albert Coudrier a Long Branch man and assistant bartender in a Lexington Avenue New York saloon was mortally wounded by a gunshot early Sunday and died in Harlem Hospital after a dramatic incident involving an intoxicated assailant known as Yellow. The bartender Joseph ODonnell was killed as he helped Coudrier. Coudrier aged 27 born Morrell Street Long Branch left surviving brothers George and Arthur and a sister Mrs Edward H Emmons. Funeral arrangements were made with William H Morris Jr and services set for Star of the Sea Church Mt Carmel Cemetery in New Jersey.

City orders vacate of Ocean Park properties in Long Branch

The Board of Commissioners through City Solicitor William A Stevens issues a Notice to Vacate to Long Branch Pier and Land Company Ocean Construction Company Samuel R Rosoff and others leasing or claiming rights in Ocean Park and adjacent waters. Occupants have until Monday June 24 to quit or face removal as default cites failure to complete the pier rent bond riparian rentals and maintenance. A receiver may be sought if negotiations fail with Degnan Construction mortgage holder and Hennebique foreclosure proceedings noted.

St James Parochial School Pearl Street Red Bank staged a drama The Coming of Geraldine at St James Hall Monmouth Street with many students performing. Masonic Grand Lodge Meeting Draws 125 Masons

More than 125 Masons attended the district Grand Lodge of Instruction at Masonic Hall in Long Branch. Grand Master Richard H. Woodward of Burlington led his first official visit here, joined by Theodore B. Townley of Trenton. Attendees came from Lakewood Freehold Belmar Asbury Park and Sea Bright. A social hour followed the esoteric work before a midnight adjournment. Harley Hennessey offers a $25 reward for tampering with a telephone line at a West End market.

Hennessey Fish Market Targeted by Wire Cutting

Harry Hennessey who runs a fish market at Brighton and Second avenues faced deliberate telephone disruption as a wire was cut in the cable box behind the market. Calls to the number went unanswered and the central office dispatched a lineman to locate the fault. Hennessey offered $26 for the capture and conviction of those responsible amid suspected rival malice.

Accident Injures Fair Haven Youth at Red Bank

Alfred Jeffrey of Fair Haven suffered a severe foot wound yesterday while digging a ditch on Mrs Chadwick's property Red Bank. The pick pierced his left foot breaking through. he rode home on a trolley car where Dr George VanVerie Warner treated him. He will be laid up for some time.

Red Bank approves Jersey Central trolley franchise

The Red Bank council authorized a fifty year trolley franchise for the Jersey Central Traction Company to operate a line on Mechanic and Spring streets and toward borough limits. The decision requires printing the franchise in weekly papers and a completion date of September 1, 1913.
