W. B. Parker purchased the Edwards Lumbex & Co. mill, machinery, and land at a receiver’s sale for 10100. Machinery brought 4200, building and land 5600. Bidders included Nuttell Co. and Liebstein & Son. The mill began in 1876 and, idle since 1910, employed up to 160 workers with a 4 million payroll over 30 years.

Woman’s presence of mind saves boy in gasoline blaze
