Narrow Escape For Boy Struck By Trolley Car
Four year old George Woolley of Atlantic Avenue narrowly escaped serious injury after being hit by a trolley fender while searching for his dog on North Long Branch tracks. He suffered a wrenched left shoulder and bruises but remained conscious, rested at home, and expected to recover within days. The motorman and conductor stayed until safety was confirmed. Local doctor Dr. Walter B Reed treated him. The boy cherished a flag as a keepsake of the incident.
