Fire kills two in Brock Saskatchewan blaze

In Brock Saskatchewan a early morning fire destroyed half the town damaging an estimated quarter million dollars. The blaze started in a livery barn and quickly spread to a warehouse stores and post office. Two farmers died attempting to rescue horses as Kinders ar were summoned for aid.

Body of man found dead in woods near Freehold

Sweeping Dirt From Store Floors Violates Local Ordinance

In Long Branch a Sugar Bowl Company employee Char les Nicklis was fined five dollars for sweeping dirt from a store doorway into the street. Boy Drowns Near Shrewsbury Bridge in River Rescue Efforts

A drowning occurred on the Shrewsbury river near Newman Springs bridge when William McCue and James McCue entered the water after a boat overturned. McCue drowned. the body was recovered about 7:30 pm north of the scene. Coroner Fay ruled accidental drowning. Several rescuers and bystanders aided in the dredging, with John Bartlett later finding the body. The incident follows treacherous currents at the site, a known danger to swimmers.
