Addie Zimmerman of Long Branch, nicknamed the little third baseman of the Newark Indians, tops the batting order after three Rochester games with a .769 average and thirteen hits in as many at bats. He homered, doubled, and had four straight hits in one stretch, drawing strong interest from big league scouts who have reportedly made offers, though he remains with Newark. Zimmerman, who played for York Tri-State and spends winters in York, Penn., was purchased from Harrisburg last season after manager Harry Wolverton broke his shoulder.

Agent Weat of the S P C A and Jacob Rosen had their differences adjusted before Judge Henry Schoenlein. The counter charges of assault and battery were dismissed while Rosen must keep the peace. The dispute began when Rosen was accused of driving a lame horse and escalated to a sidewalk confrontation on Broadway last week. Rosen was knocked out and treated, with West pressing charges.
