A work train collided early today in Elyria Ohio trapping passengers inside a coach. About thirty passengers were injured with twenty rushed to a hospital after the wreck, as a car of the work train was wrecked and the crash blocked exits.
A work train on the Cleveland and Southwestern Electric Railway failed to stop at a switch in Elyria Ohio at eight in the morning. It crashed into a passenger coach, injuring forty people with several serious. Motorman Hamilton possibly facing death. Twenty were rushed to a hospital. nine detained. The vestibule shattered and passengers escaped through broken windows. Most injured expected to recover.
Stanley A. Parker of Brooklyn sues Central Traction Company in the New Jersey Supreme Court for $50,000 alleging negligence led to Herbert Parker’s death on August 6, 1913, on a bridge at Morgan due to a live electric wire with poor insulation and lack of warning.

Two people were injured last night at 12 30 o clock when a small American roadster carrying Mr and Mrs B Lippincott of 17 Sea View Avenue Asbury Park collided with a large Mack auto truck owned by Castle Iced Cream Company of Perth Amboy. The accident occurred in front of the Washington Monitor property along Ocean Avenue Sea Bright. Louis A. Ennis and Miss Ellanora Zengel were married Thursday evening at 7 30 in the rectory of Star of the Sea Church by Rev Dr William P Cantwell. Matthew Ennis and Miss Lydia Zengel attended. The bride wore a blue traveling suit and white hat. A small reception followed in the Cook bungalow on Liberty Street. Only immediate family attended.
Progress toward a midsummer ball by the Long Branch Chamber of Commerce at Ocean Park Casino in mid August. Ladies in charge met with chamber members to select patrons and patronesses for a large list, with another meeting to finalize the list.
Mrs. Gilbert Van Cleaf of Hamilton Avenue is reported in dying condition at Monmouth Memorial Hospital after a stroke and complication of diseases. She is noble grand of Arioch Rebekah Degree Lodge No 21 LO, O. FP, and well regarded in the fraternity.

In Virginia, a baby girl was born to Mr and Mrs DeLancey Nicoll Jr on June 26. Mrs Nicoll is the adopted sister and a talented musician. At Eatontown a son was born to Mrs Stanley Van Brunt. she was formerly Miss Molth Brown of Red Bank.
Residents expect an arrest within twenty four hours in the Bailey murder case after a shot through Dr Edward Carman's office window. Detectives guard the Carman home while Burns Agency men search for the revolver. Dr Carman notes authorities suspect Mrs Carman and attorney George Levy explains an affidavit was not secret and protects himself in case of trial.
Joseph T. Antonides, long time Democrat and son of the Enbroeck Antonides, announces his candidacy for the southern Monmouth County freeholder seat. A Wall Township native, he is a former clerk and partner in Antonides and Son drug firm in Manasquan.
A break in at William Nos shoeshine parlor Friday night saw the cash register opened and two dollars stolen. A punch board and a few watches lay nearby, with the shop owner reporting thirty seconds of effort and $27.50 later found in a pocket.
After a unique operation Rev St Presbyterian expects two new pairs of official legs and an artificial left arm. MacClements, who had been playing golf, fell from a platform, both ankles and arm crushed. At Memorial Hospital in Asbury Park the legs and arm were amputated. He went to Battle Creek to recuperate and obtained two artificial legs and an arm. Six inches more were cut to reach usable nerves, making him six inches shorter and likely to get a new pair. Surgeons could find no similar case of feet amputated above the ankles with later six tube removals from each leg.
