Ice Yacht Accident Injures Couple on Shrewsbury River
Crowds of skaters on the Shrewsbury River near Red Bank saw the third class yacht Silver Heels sail past Robin's Cove and strike John Manning of Fair Haven and Miss Mabel Fisher. Manning lay unconscious hours after being struck. Fisher suffered severe injuries including a broken nose, knocked teeth, a deep gash, and bruises. The injured were taken by ice boat to Dr Edwin T Field's residence.
