Eighteen-Year Sentence for Local Slaver Crispo Convicted
Justice Voorhees at Freehold sentenced John Catalloni to eighteen years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the killing of Thomas Livadotti in Long Branch. Livadotti died after a beer dispute in Morris avenue outbuilding on November 17. Catalloni and his brother Salvatore were arrested. Salvatore posted bail. Mrs Grace McConnell of Deal died Monday night while chopping wood. The coroner cites apoplexy as the cause. she was forty five. She lived with her sister Miss Agnes Howell near the Deal Golf Club grounds. Her husband Ralph McConnell was a world traveler and hunting guide in recent years.
