The New Jersey State Hospital in Trenton charges 16 percent of its patients to Monmouth county, with five more admitted from the county this past week. Amateurs Postpone Ice Boat Race Due to Wind

Urges Changes in Laws by Monmouth County Board Group

Nine members of a Monmouth County School Boards Association committee met at Neptune High for talks on proposed state school legislation this term. A conference with Senator Frelinghuysen is planned to push ideas including eligibility for state funds, tenure act revisions, teacher pensions, compulsory education, county parental schools, and explicit transportation provisions. Attendees included former chairman Wesley B. Stout and officials from Neptune, Bradley Beach, and Asbury Park.

Couple Reunited as Bradley Beach Town Quiets Down

Fire at Oceanport Barn Threatens Nearby Property

A noon blaze in Oceanport damaged part of a barn on Michael Murphy's Riverside avenue property. Sparks from a match or cigar likely ignited dry grass. fire spread to the roof before firefighters from Oceanport and a Park Hotel extinguisher helped bring it under control. Mrs Hannah Derby wife of William Derby of the Highlands died Saturday at the Highlands aged 76. Funeral services were held yesterday from the Highlands M. J. Church with Rev Thomas Wise. Burial was at Greenlawn cemetery. She lived in this city fifty years and was well known by long-time residents. The Women Foreign Missionary Society of the Simpson Memorial M. E. Church held a meeting at Liberty Street hosted by Mrs. Matthias Woolley. President Mrs. T. W. Little Silver Woman Dead at Thirty

Mrs. Sarah Parker of Little Silver wife of Theodore Parker died yesterday morning at eleven o'clock from tuberculosis of the throat. She was about thirty, daughter of Benjamin Bowman of Red Bank, and leaves her husband three children two boys and a girl two sisters Miss Mamie Bowman and Miss Viola Bowman and a brother Harry Bowman. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.

Man Hurt As Car Frozen Bike Ride To Barn

Michael Hourthan of Long Branch was injured when his bicycle foot slipped and his leg frozen to a car on the Port Haven line at Shrewsbury while en route to the trolley barn before 5 AM. He is confined to his home with injuries.
