Alpheus B Sherman Dead After Lingering Illness
Alpheus B. Sherman of Long Branch died at Wayside this morning from consumption after a long illness. The son of Mrs. Mary Sherman he worked many years as a clerk at Morford Brown Co and later at Senator Oliver H Brown’s Asbury Park furniture store. He was about sixty, unmarried, and lived on Broadway near Dudley Street. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
