Lang from Newark Gets Thirty Days in County Jail
Charles Lang of Newark, who claimed to walk from Asbury Park, was sentenced to thirty days in the county jail by Recorder Arronsmith. Lang sought a sleep-in and was picked up for panhandling near City Hall after wandering traffic and pedestrians. He thanked the recorder upon sentencing.

A Creek lifeboat crew rescued several sailors early this morning after a quay incident. The remaining crew stayed aboard the ship as a breaker battered the vessel, while two life savers tended to the shore. Infant Barone died yesterday, with funeral services set for Holy Trinity Church Sunday at two. Burial will be at Mount Carmel cemetery.
