Allen Dare longtime Pennsylvania Railroad engineer died at his Franklin avenue home after a year of failing health. The funeral is set for Thursday at 2 o'clock from Franklin avenue, burial at Near Middletown View Cemetery. Survived by widow Rebecca Field, Madison native born February 14, 1861, and brother Walter Dare of Oceanic. He was active in Masonic orders and Knights Templar. Corson Commandery will conduct the funeral.

Boy Fractures Thigh as Fence Blows Down in High Winds
Five year old Ernest White, son of James White, was seriously injured when a fence blew down during strong winds at his sister’s home in Asbury Park. He was taken to Monmouth Memorial Hospital where Dr. Shaw set the broken thigh and he rests. Night watchman Edward C. Lambert of Steinbach Company in Asbury Park died of heat disease while awaiting a Bradley Reach car. He was 55 and survived by his widow.
