Bible Class Turkey Dinner Hosts Church Members

Rev. Alfonso Dare led a Bible class turkey supper in Simpson Memorial M.B. Church basement with about sixty guests including several invited priests. A full Thanksgiving menu featured hot turkey mashed potatoes sweet potatoes and more served with cake and coffee. Each attendee received a carnation bouquet and the event may be repeated next year on a larger scale.

Revival Services at Asbury Church Continue A Week

Revival services at the Methodist Ghitweh in the North Lang Bravch section continued another week led by Pastor Eberhardt. An unusual interest appeared as several young people came to the altar and some connected themselves with the church. An old fashioned meeting is announced for tonight with Rev. Alfonse Dare from the Simpson M. & Church as speaker tomorrow night.

Veteran Hendrickson Buried After Civil War Service

Funeral services for Barkalow Hendrickson were held at his Cypress Street home with Rev. Dr. George H. Neal presiding. Choir members Mrs. C. L. Edwards and Mrs. W. W. G. Laconi sang. Burial followed under the direction of funeral director John G. Sexton. Hendrickson served three years in the Civil War with Company H Forty-eighth New York Volunteers, mustered August 18, 1861.

Carr Twins Suffer Pneumonia After Fire Exposure

James Townley and Frances Carr six year old twins of T M Carr New Jersey Southern Railroad train despatcher and Mrs E K Carr are ill with pneumonia at the home of former Mayor and Mrs C O McFaddin in Chelsea Avenue Chelsea. They were exposed in the Townley cottage fire near Franklin and Second Avenues. Two physicians attend. condition is considerably improved today.

At Oakhurst graded school in January eighty four pupils had perfect attendance with no absences or tardies. The Jacob Steinbach store underwent noticeable renovations this month. Woodwork across the interior was refinished in white creating a clean look. The second floor lavatory was moved to basement quarters to free space. Second floor changes increased display room for the furniture exhibit.

Burglars Looted Sacco Building in City
