State Plans Use School Funds In New Budget Estimate
Trenton, Feb. 1 New Jersey lawmakers received a financial statement from State Comptroller Henry J. West detailing the cost of state government for the next fiscal year and supplemental appropriations for the balance of the current year. The supplemental estimate is 1,200,84.08 and the current year ending Oct 31, 1911 is 8,140,920. The two figures total 6,341,790.87. The next fiscal year shows an increase of 895,935.47 over the present year, but a decrease of 2,033,60.64 compared with 1909 due largely to railroad tax diversions for school purposes.
