Arthur H. Hearn of James A. Hearn & Son died of apoplexy at his Plaza apartments in New York during Christmas surrounded by family. He owned the Long Branch estate at Second and Bath avenues and was a noted benefactor to Long Branch churches, the Seamen's Christian Association, and the local horse show. Funeral services were set for the Church of the Ascension in New York.

Fire damages eight story VanDewater Street building
Mrs Norman L Munro a Long Branch owner saw her eight story New York building at 24 and 26 VanDewater Street badly damaged by fire. A dozen firemen were injured two seriously as backdrafts and heat drove crews back. Loss is about 100000 fully insured. Mrs Munro connected to the publishing house that suffered damage telephoned James Cloughly of Long Branch who built the Norwood Park colony for the Munro family. She has suffered four prior fires in Long Branch Middletown and the Munro homestead. Continued on Sixth Page.

Thomas Conlon a 53 year old Collier country estate employee was found burned in a small two story outbuilding at Eatontown after a fire daily on Sunday morning. He had been seen alive Saturday night while returning home and likely died when the structure incinerated. Coroner John W.
