Treat for Children Friday Afternoon at Broadway Theatre
Long Branch Society invites all poor children to a free 2:30 PM Friday event at Broadway Theatre with a moving picture show and snacks. Last year 750 sandwiches and candy were handed out. this year 500 children are expected, funding ongoing from local donors and organizations such as Long Branch Lodge Elks Knights of Columbus and Patrolmen's Benevolent Association.

Young Girl Dies After Hemorrhage in City
Lillian Darby of 826 Hillside Avenue died yesterday afternoon at 3 36 o clock after about a week of hemorrhages. She was in her fourteenth year. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at two o'clock at Trinity AME Church with Rev. H P Ashley officiating. Interment under funeral director F F Harris will be at White Ridge Cemetery.
