For three nights the annual Holiday Bazaar by the Ladies Aid Society of St Luke's Methodist Episcopal Church opens with a prayer service. The event, in its fifteenth year, features many booths including a Japanese gift booth, lemonade and ice cream stands, and a seven five cent chicken supper.

Man Found Dead at Foot of Stairs in Rockwell Home

Men’s Turkey Supper at First Presbyterian Delivers Record Service
The First Presbyterian Church men’s turkey supper set a record by serving 360 people in two hours with Prof. Frederick K. Ball’s orchestra providing music. Fifty waiters in evening dress worked from 6 30 to 7 30, and 250 pounds of turkey were eaten. Charles C. Lloyd prepared the turkeys and plans for 1000 servings next year are already underway.
