Robert Rodney Dies in Galveston Navy Sailor From Sea Bright
Eighteen year old Robert Rodney son of Joseph Rodney of New York and grandson of William Rodney of Sea Bright died in Galveston Texas on Tuesday. He had joined the navy last summer and served on a battleship at the time of his death. The body was en route to New York for burial. The Phil Daly Hoge Company held a chowder supper at fire headquarters in Second Avenue with speeches and gifts including an honorary badge for Robert C. Adamsen Jr.

Woman Gunman Kills Burglar During Home Invasion
In Toledo on December 4, Mrs. Plummer shot two burglars who had fired at her husband Harry Plummer. One dead burglar was found on a picket fence with bullet wounds through eye and breast. A second assailant was believed wounded. he remained at large as police searched through the night. Plummer was seriously injured, and Mrs. Plummer collapsed after police arrived.
