Trenton December 4 An analysis of the November 7 election shows Democrats won seventeen sheriff races by 22785. Republican sheriff votes totaled 128898 while Democrats aggregated 150683. Republicans carried Atlantic and Union only. Socialists rose to 10760 in Assembly and Prohibition fell to fourth place.

Belford Carpenter Injured In Fall From Scaffold
Belford carpenter Henry Granderith fell from a top scaffold while working on a new Belford house Friday. He was unconscious, scalp torn, and required stitches. Benjamin Woolley has been appointed a permanent carrier on the Free Delivery force reporting for duty last Friday. He is the first permanent addition to the force since 1902. Long Branch Reports First Jersey Coast Small Craft Warning
Long Branch becomes the first Jersey Coast town to receive the new Small Craft Warning effective December 1. The signal was transmitted from Washington and displayed at the Weather Bureau station in North Broadway at 9 40 p m. Observer Martin notes it is the first such warning along the coast. The Record recently published a description of the warning. The annual firemen election is set for tomorrow night with eight companies participating. Councilman Charles E Brown is expected to be unopposed as chief, with Joseph Kingsland as first assistant chief. The contest for second assistant chief features Edward J Reid and Joseph Schwark, at Casino on Wednesday evening December 7. Tickets 75 cents. A bazaar at Simpson M Church features handkerchiefs, fancy goods, a Japanese booth, hot bouillon, bread and cake, Delicacies, popcorn, candy, art, and stationery booths, plus an ice cream parlor and art gallery.
