Fire starting in a closet under the stairs of the George Hance Patterson building gutted the Consolidated Gas Company and Childs grocery stores in Red Bank. Smoke damaged offices and stock across tenants including Ennis, Cooper and Rose firms, Allaire & Son, Byram, Applegate, Higginson, Moselle stationery, totaling about 15000 dollars. Edward Morris discovered the blaze at about four, waking late after delivering a friend to the Empire theatre. he slept briefly before the smoke forced his escape. Continued on Third Page.

The body of John P. Keravean a 28 year old Finn fisherman who fell overboard near the John Woolley fishing pound at Bradley Beach is recovered by Deal life saving member Lewis W. Clayton from the undertow weighted by sea sand. Funeral for Keravean will be held at Sexton's chapel Morrel street with Rev Dr Lovell officiating burial at Greenlawn on Thursday. he was born August 19 1886 in Voborg Finland and had no relatives in this country. The accident occurred yesterday at 9 am near the outer bar as a high sea swept him into the water.

Joseph White with two Keansburg merchants bought an auto delivery car from Harry Neumark. En route to Keansburg the car overturned near Silverside avenue injuring the trio.
