Man Injured in Water Witch Auto Crash

George Walton of New York Telephone Co. was seriously injured walking along Valley Drive Water Witch near Atlantic Highlands when struck from behind by a five passenger car driven by William L. Glorieux of Irvington New Jersey. He suffered head and body injuries including a possible rib fracture and a fractured right shoulder blade. Walton was treated by Dr. J L Oferman before being brought to the Hayden residence in Broadway. The incident occurred about 4 14 PM as Walton carried his trunk line trouble kit.

Death of 13 Year Old Catherine Bremer at Chapel Hill

Catherine Bremer aged 13 daughter of William and Sarah Bremer of New York died early yesterday at Monmouth Memorial Hospital after a severe cold contracted during a two week summer outing at a Chapel Hill resort. Her remains were shipped to New York yesterday afternoon by funeral director William Hi Morris Jr.

Ford Men Head to Detroit for Summer Training

Harry Ford Lester Maps and Byron Wardell left yesterday afternoon for Detroit Michigan with a stop in Albany before continuing. Ford and Maps will resume studies at the Cadillac School of Applied Mechanics. Wardell resigned from the Ford Company and hopes to obtain a similar post with a major Detroit auto firm.

Clarkson F Lane Dies in 44th Year

Clarkson F Lane apportionment clerk in Auditor Maurer’s office died at Monmouth Memorial Hospital shortly after an abdominal operation. He had been ill six weeks with peritonitis and was surrounded by his wife and brother Wilbert at the time of his death.

Funeral services for William Sewing were held at Fair View chapel at one oclock this afternoon. Rev S Monroe Van Sant of the First Methodist Church conducted the ceremony with Coroner Harry C Fay in charge of the inquest into his death caused by ingesting carbolic acid at Red Bank Thursday morning.
