Fourteen year old boy fractures leg in Keyport tree fall

Fourteen year old Herbert Bingham visiting Keyport fell from a tree while cutting branches and fractured his leg. He was assisted by bystanders and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Seaside Tragedy Ends After Terrifying Sea Pass Incident

Theresa Grace an eighteen year old from New York staying at Sea Shore Cottage North Lose Branch died after being swept by a sea pass while bathing. Oliver Byron's employee and a Millard F Smith chauffeur attempted a boat rescue but failed. Gibney a cottage resident retrieved the girl and kept her head above water until Clarence Pickering and Herbert Brewer Salvation Army life savers arrived and recovered her. She died at Monmouth Memorial Hospital from heart failure due to fright. She was to return to New York for work today and is survived by a father and several sisters.

Car crash injures delivery driver near Cedar and Brookwillow

Young man faces theft charge in district car case

Harry Bordgé of near Farmingdale, a former chauffeur for Mrs. Alice Miller Ler, appeared in Justice Schoenlein's court to answer a charge of taking Mrs. Miller's car June 13 without consent. Bordgé, 19, posted 1000 bail with bondsman uncle G H Burdge. Miller lacked witnesses as Motor Vehicle Inspector Rus assisted. Bordgé pleaded not guilty.

Life Saving Exhibit Impresses Keansburg Crowd

Last night in Keansburg Commodore Edward Brennan and the American Life Saving Society demonstrated rapid rescue from a blazing vessel off the beach. A breeches buoy line was shot to the vessel as flames rose, saving a man and then guiding others to safety, amid cheers from spectators.

Five Auto Accidents End Carnival Night In Keansburg

A chaotic finale to Keansburg carnival night left two men injured amid five vehicle crashes. William Brown, a 60 year old Keansburg farmer, suffered a broken arm after being struck on Carr Avenue. Cars, a bus, and a runabout crashed, with onlookers and a large crowd gathering as police and bystanders managed the scene.
