Loren Lund a renowned Red Bank painter and decorator, aged about 70, shot himself in a third floor room at the Central Hotel during a thunderstorm. The act, likely driven by unemployment woes and rheumatic pain, left him dead instantly. funeral services will be held at Fay's parlors with Rev. MacKellar officiating.

Rescue at Atlantic Highlands Aids Drowning Couple
A daring rescue at dawn near Atlantic Highlands saved Clara Becker and Robert Keller after a passing wake capsized their small motor boat. Keller, 21, an expert swimmer from Hast Orange, dove in to save Becker as darkness hid the river. They drifted for hours before rescuers reached shore and Becker recovered after restorative treatment.

Auto accident charms Ocean Grove boy leaves scar risk

Boy Caught With Wheel After Theft on Norwood Ave
Miss Ethel Dangler reported a missing bicycle on Norwood avenue. Patrolman Kingsland arrested eleven year old Chester Hartwick, son of Thomas Hartwick, riding the wheel after it was taken. The youth admitted taking it claiming a ride. Judge Arrowsmith released him to his father and referred the case to the juvenile court.
