Ten year old drowned at clay pit in Asbury Park
Albert Conover ten, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Conover of 408 Church Street Asbury Park, drowned when he slipped from a raft plank in a water filled clay pit at the Drummond brickyard. Roger Vannote nine notified his mother. Walter Skillman assisted and brought the body to surface twenty minutes after submersion. Dr. R. Bennett and Coroner Dillon examined the scene.

Esteemed Organist Undergoes Appendicitis Surgery
MTS, A. Furstow, a renowned organist from St. Luke's M E Church, had an appendicitis operation at Monmouth Memorial Hospital this morning. The procedure is reported very successful. Mrs Parslow has prepared for the operation for months. Marty Finn of Borden's Milk is recovering from a toe injury after an ice cake caused amputation and is now using crutches.

Paralyzed Man Hurt Segwaying Through Beach Breaker
W A Brown of Buffalo New York was paralyzed from the waist down after attempting to ride a breaker at Highland Beach. He twisted into the sand and flipped, becoming motionless in the sea. Onlookers carried him to the Sand Stage pavilion for care before transport to Monmouth Memorial Hospital.
