Everything ready for the firemen parade with ideal weather. Eighteen visiting companies join local units totalling over 1,000 firemen in uniform parade along Ocean to Broadway and back to the reviewing stand.

Harling John son and Frake of Red Bank form a new company with 50000 capital to deal in real estate and construction. Incorporators Elias H Earling Charles H Johnson and Oliver G Frake of Red Bank serve as directors with Earl ing as president Johnson as vice president and treasurer Frake as secretary. Capital stock paid in 15000 equally among three members.

Jim McGlade Wins Mile Trotting Dash at Stengel Track

Jim McGlade owned by Henry J. Hume defeated Double D owned by Charles Raviere in a single mile heat at Stengel track scoring 2.28. Happy Thompson rode the winner with Henry Muhlenbrink guiding Double D. Trainer John Manult celebrated a swift prep and a strong showing for Branchport fans.

Yacht Club Reorganization Meeting Announced

Keansburg Yacht Club secretary Royal Scott Gulden informs members of a meeting to reorganize. It will take place at Doppler's Pharmacy on Church Street Sunday August 20 at 4 p.m. Funds raised by a Townley window punch bowl will aid Monmouth Memorial Hospital via the local auxiliary.

Returns From Hospital In Belford After Surgeries

Gilbert Weeden Sr. returns home to Belford from Monmouth Memorial Hospital where he recovered after two major operations for appendicitis and kidney derangement. Harvey Waggoner of Hackensack buys Matawan confectionery and tea cream business from George Keller and takes possession. Keansburg Heights plans a new clubhouse to be ready for the upcoming carnival with stucco walls and a red tile roof hosting events.

Mrs Nancy Coles Dies at 70 of Appendicitis

Mrs Nancy Coles, 70, died Tuesday at her Belmont Avenue home from appendicitis. She leaves one daughter, Mrs S Hodges. A member of Second Baptist Church, she had ties to a church in South Carolina. Funeral services were held at her residence conducted by Rev Julius Slinton of Red Bank. Interment followed at White Ridge cemetery under funeral director William H Morris Jr.

The U S Weather Bureau forecasts fair and cooler conditions in New Jersey for the next thirty six hours ending Friday at 8 pm. A seven year old boy Nathaniel Vincent is reported missing from the Home for the Aged and Orphans at 211 Monmouth Avenue. he has been missing for three weeks and authorities are alerted. Crowning of Queen Opens Long Branch Carnival at Hollywood Hotel

Miss Tamire Pannaci is crowned queen of the Long Branch Carnival at the Hollywood Hotel amid a gala crowd of cottagers and year round residents. Mayor Edwin W. Packer crowns the queen and presents the keys of the city to carnival chairman Harry C. Rehm as pages and royal attendants look on.

County Freeholders Meet in Freehold to Dispose Routine Business

The County Commissioners met in Freehold to transact routine business. They awarded painting and decorating of the courthouse rooms to Cooper & Patterson for 342.25 dollars and authorized repairs to Second street Keyport left by Harrison Construction Co. They noted Holmdel Middletown and West Long Branch refused to pay ten percent for new county roads and ordered collection. Alfred J. Wildman Belmar to alter ballot boxes at set rates. Boy Struck by Car in Broad Daylight Collision

Long Branch incident reports a colored youth named James Brown run into an automobile on Broadway near the Record office Tuesday night. Ex Mayor John W. Eyles of Sea Bright drove the car. a horn blast failed to stop the boy. He was bruised on the leg but not seriously injured. Eyles was held blameless as patrolmen assisted.

Woman Held to Keep the Peace in Disturbance Case

Edward Banks who runs a hotel on First avenue and his wife Nellie were complainants in Judge Schoenbein's court against Kitty Davis. Davis faced counts of disorderly conduct indecent language and threats. The case was adjourned to Monday. Nellie Banks also sued Lisse Jones for threats and disturbance and was held to $100 to keep the peace.

Ring Loss Case In Judge Schoenlein Court

Annie Brassel of Long Branch Avenue testified about a diamond ring worth 160 dollars lost after Eva Lichtenstein, a boarder, left it for safekeeping at Brassel’s home. The ring vanished despite a guard. Judge Schoenlein ordered the case await grand jury action with $200 bail.
